outrepd · Last updated 12 October 2026

This policy explains what the outrepd app ("outrepd", "we", "us") collects, why, who can see it, how long it is kept, and how to get a copy or delete it. outrepd is run by MK Labs. Questions go to support@outrepd.com.

outrepd is a push-up game: your phone's camera counts your reps, and you race other people — live, both on camera at the same time, or against a set they recorded earlier.

The camera never leaves your phone

The camera is used only to count reps. Pose detection runs on your device. No video, image or body-position data from the camera is sent to us or to anyone else.

In a live match, the only thing your phone sends the other player's phone while the round runs is your rep count — a number. Never video, pictures or body positions.

To check the counter's accuracy, the app may keep a recording of body positions (points on a skeleton, not video) on your phone. It stays on the phone and is removed when you uninstall the app.

Pose detection uses Google's ML Kit library, which runs on the device. Google describes what ML Kit itself may send to Google in its terms: developers.google.com/ml-kit/terms.

What we collect

Data Required? Why we use it
Username Yes Identifies you on leaderboards, to friends and to opponents.
Email address Only if you create an account with one Signing in, and getting your account back on a new phone. Never shown to other people.
Country No The country leaderboard. Taken from your phone's language and region settings, not from your location. You can hide it.

While you search for a ranked live match, that you are searching and your rank level, for up to 15 seconds. Yes, to play live Pairing you with somebody live, showing each of you the other's count, and settling the match — including on the last count received if a phone loses its connection.
Live invites you send to friends and receive from them No Letting a friend join you live. An invite lasts one minute.
Your month: your place on each month's leaderboard and the award it earned Yes The monthly leaderboard, and the awards shown on your profile.
A friend's code: whose code you entered, when, and when its free week was given No — only if you enter one Giving you the free week the code is for, once. The friend whose code it was sees how many people joined with it, not who.

In-app notifications, the title you wear, when you were last active, and your settings Yes Showing you what happened, showing friends you are around, and applying your choices.
Your subscription: which plan, when it started, renews or ends, and the store it was bought through Yes, to use the app outrepd needs a subscription. We record whether yours is active so the app and the server can let you play.
A push notification address for your phone, and the app's language No — only if you allow notifications Sending your phone a notification when somebody races your set, asks to be your friend, accepts, wants a rematch, or invites you to a live match, in your language. Removed when you sign out or delete your account.
Crash reports: what the app was doing when it failed, the phone model, operating system version and app version Yes Finding and fixing crashes. They are not used to identify you.

We do not collect your location, contacts, advertising identifiers, or payment details. You pay Google Play or the App Store, never us: your card details go to them and we never see them.

The daily reminder is set on your phone and never reaches us.

The home-screen widget gets your daily goal, streak and rank from the app on the same phone. If you turn on saving workouts to Apple Health or Health Connect in Settings, the app writes each set there as a workout (when it started and ended, and the number of push-ups), from your phone. outrepd reads nothing from Apple Health or Health Connect. What it writes there never reaches us, is never used for advertising and is never shared. You can turn it off in Settings, and remove what was written in the Health app or Health Connect.

How we use it

Only to run outrepd: matches, rankings, friends, notifications, your profile, keeping the game fair, and answering you when you contact us. We do not use your data for advertising, we do not build profiles of you for anyone else, and we do not use analytics or tracking tools. Crash reports are used only to fix the app.

What other people can see

Other players can see your username, photo, rank, record, best set, streak, the title you wear, your leaderboard places and your month awards. You can hide yourself from the leaderboards, and hide your country, in Settings → Privacy. Anyone with your share link can see your share card without signing in. Your email address is never shown to anyone.

Sharing

We do not sell your data or share it for advertising. We use four service providers who process data only on our behalf, to run the service:

  • Supabase hosts the app's server, database and profile photos, sends the sign-in codes you receive by email, and relays the rep counts between the two phones in a live match.
  • Resend sends the email with your data when you ask for a copy.
  • RevenueCat manages subscriptions. It receives your account ID and your purchase records from Google Play or the App Store, and tells the app and our server whether your subscription is active. Its privacy policy: revenuecat.com/privacy.
  • Google Firebase delivers push notifications to your phone (Firebase Cloud Messaging — on iPhone, through Apple's push notification service) and collects crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics). Its privacy information: firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

We may disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect players from fraud or abuse. Your data may be processed in countries other than yours.

How we protect it

All data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Our hosting provider encrypts stored data. Database rules let each account read and change only what it is allowed to, and rank and results can only be changed by the server, not by the app on your phone.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account, it is removed from our database straight away (see Deleting your account). Copies in routine backups are removed as those backups expire. Reports other players filed about you are kept after your account is deleted, with your account removed from them, so abuse can still be dealt with.

Your choices and rights

Get a copy of your data: Settings → Data → Export my data. It is emailed to you.

Change what others see: Settings → Privacy.

Correct your data: change your username once from your profile, and your photo and settings at any time. For anything else, email us.

Delete your data: delete your account, below.

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA in California), you may have further rights, such as to object to or restrict processing, or to complain to a data protection authority. Email support@outrepd.com and we will answer within 30 days. We process your data to provide the service you asked for. We do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it.

Deleting your account

In the app: open outrepd, go to Settings → Data → Delete account, and confirm.

Without the app: email support@outrepd.com from the email address on your account, or tell us your username, with the subject "Delete my outrepd account". We will delete it within 30 days and confirm by email.

What is deleted: your account, email address, username, profile photo, sets, matches, live matches and invites, month awards, friend codes you entered, friends, blocks, mutes, reports you filed, notifications, push notification addresses and settings.

What is kept: opponents keep the rank points they won or lost against you, because those are part of their own records, but the match is removed from their history. Reports other players filed about you are kept with your account removed from them.

Subscriptions: deleting your account does not cancel a subscription, because Google Play or the App Store bills it, not us. Cancel it in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions, or on iPhone in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.

Deletion cannot be undone.

Children

outrepd is only for people aged 16 and over, and the app turns away anyone who says they are younger. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has an account, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
